High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. Major brand names include King Starboard and ColorCore. HDPE has good chemical, corrosion and abrasion resistance, and high impact strength. It 's very strong but machines very well. AllRout can machine all kinds of components from HDPE. HDPE is available from .125" through 2" in thickness. It is also available as a regrind or repro grade material for projects that are price sensitive.
